Consumer Reports Sucks
Okay - you may not think this is appropriate for this forum, and you're probably right, but I believe strongly that wrongs here need to be corrected. Consumer Reports - which is supposedly "objective" in their product reviews - basically flat-out lied about their child safety seat tests. Read this article for some of the details. I used to subscribe to Consumer Reports but stopped several years ago because of their obvious bias on certain issues and their nearly useless reviews. Most of their product reviews are woefully out-of-date and flat-out inaccurate. If you want to know what products are like in the real world, listen to your fellow consumers via product review sites like PriceGrabber.com, Amazon.com and so forth. "Expert" opinions are rarely unbiased with at least one exception being Atlanta's own Clark Howard. Don't buy any product until you've heard how other "real people" who have that product have experienced it.

Consumer Reports Propaganda Press Release.
