iPods Could Make You Fat
The FDA is requiring Apple to update the nutritional label on all iPods including the diminutive iPod Shuffle. "The amount of trans fat in all iPods is seriously understated", said Spotlight Johnson, head of electronic nutrition at the FDA. "And they're not even reporting the lithium amount", he added. Apple was not available for comment.
Doctors recommend exercise of course, but do iPods make your workout better or worse? People who listen to music during workouts worked 13 percent more than those in silence. However, if you're a serious athelete, you may want to leave your iPod at home for the big race. Psychologists say it could add "static" to the "mind-body connection" and cause "dissociation effect", which they say basically means your iPod is distracting you from top performance. I think psychologists sit around in their robes all day thinking up fancy terminology for everyday things.
